Discontentment is all relative.  I wrote about this in an earlier blog post called Eliminate Comparison = Hello Progress.  When you start being discontent try to realize why and where it is coming from.  Leo from Zen Habits uses these three steps to solve discontentment:

1. Change your attitude and perspective.

-stop being so stubborn and realize that you do have control over your attitude or situation.  You control how you react to circumstances the circumstances do not control you.

2. Take some kind of positive action.

-Do something to relax or something you enjoy.  Get away from work, go for a walk, write someone an encouraging note.

3. Do something that gives you meaning.

-Spend time with people you care about and causes you care about.  Do things that don’t involve making money but giving of your time and efforts.
